Use this public-data screen to identify engagement-based audience warnings before outreach.

How the fake follower screen works

Bought followers do not watch or engage, so an inflated audience can show up when videos reach a tiny fraction of the claimed follower count. This tool flags accounts with at least 25,000 followers whose median recent video views are under about 2% of followers.

The rule is deliberately conservative. A flag means look closer before you spend — check who is commenting, whether views cluster on one viral hit, and whether recent videos changed format.

Questions

Does this calculate an exact fake-follower percentage?

No. It uses view rate as the primary public warning signal and returns a conservative review flag when recent videos reach too little of the claimed audience.

Why can low TikTok engagement happen?

Inactive followers, a format change, seasonal content, shifting distribution, or weak recent videos can all lower engagement. Review the evidence before rejecting a creator.

What should a campaign team do after a warning?

Review recent videos, compare candidates, or upload the whole creator list and use the warning alongside fit and activity signals.
